Yvonne Guibert

Yvonne Guibert is Vice President of Education Strategy at Institutes of Health (IOH). With over 25 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry, she is renowned for her innovative approach to education and communication. At IOH, Yvonne harnesses her deep industry knowledge and passion to develop impactful educational programs, through webinars, conference sessions and more. Her work brings the world-class clinical expertise of IOH to the industry, helping to advance understanding and improve workers’ compensation practices rooted in the biopsychosocial model of care. Her strategic vision and leadership in educational initiatives have solidified her reputation as a key influencer in advancing industry knowledge and best practices.

Among her proudest career accomplishments is the Comp Laude® Awards and Gala event hosted by WorkCompCentral. The mission of the event was aimed at changing the industry narrative to a more positive dialogue, and it highlighted individuals and companies who are committed to doing the right thing and bringing all stakeholders together to participate in the conversation.

The ability to craft narratives that inspire resilience and positive change is at the heart of her professional ethos. As a certified health and wellness coach and a Bounce Back Better (B³)® Resilience Trainer, she is dedicated to fostering an environment where learning and well-being go hand in hand, driving innovation in education for the workers’ compensation community. Yvonne earned her B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of South Florida. Go Bulls!

Rafael Gonzalez,
Co-Founder, Deconstructing Comp Podcast

Rafael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, and his Jurisprudence Doctorate from the Florida State University.

Rafael has over 35 years of experience in the legal and insurance industries. He is currently a partner in Cattie & Gonzalez, PLLC, a national law firm serving clients in all 50 states, focused on Medicare and Medicaid secondary payer law and compliance in auto bodily injury, liability, mass tort, medical malpractice, nursing home, no-fault, products, workers’ compensation, and wrongful death claims and litigated cases.

Rafael speaks, teaches, and writes on workers’ compensation, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, mandatory insurer reporting, conditional payments resolution, set aside allocations, social determinants of health, and diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the country.

Giving back to his community and serving his profession are important to Rafael. He currently serves as Chair-Elect of the University of South Florida President’s Latin Community Advisory Council, Co-Chair of the CLM Workers Compensation Community Advisory Board, Co-Chair of the CLM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, Chair of the DRI Workers Compensation Industry Relations Committee, Member of the DRI Task Force on Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, Member of the ELEVATE Education Advisory Committee, Member of the RISE Medicare Secondary Payer Educational Series Advisory Council, and Lecturer, Instructor, Adjunct at the USF College of Public Health and the FSU College of Law.
